Friends Who Were Helped
These guys are still alive thanks to
your help! These dogs came to
Wally's Friends with heartworms and needed
treatment as soon as possible to save
their lives! We asked and you have
helped! Your
donations to Ralphie's Fund went
directly to the
attending veterinarian, Tai Federico.
Daisy Daisy
was found lying on a rural road by a
young girl. When the girl brought Daisy
to Wally's Friends to be spayed Dr. Winn
could not perform surgery because the
skin on her stomach wall was so weak his
sutures would not hold. Daisy had a
extreme
case of demodetic mange and the owner
was not able to afford treatment.
Wally's Friends paid for Daisy's
treatment at Riverview Animal Hospital.
Dr. Tai Federico treated and healed
Daisy at a hugely discounted price. Once
she returned to health, Daisy came back
to Wally's Friends for her spay day and
here is a photo of Daisy now.
Blue
Eyes (Blueberry)
This sweet, little Husky mix had surgery at Riverview Jan 21, 2010 to repair an
extensive hernia. We needed to raise $400 to pay for her surgery and
we also had to help Blue Eyes find her forever home. She was a very sweet 6 month old
girl who weighed in at a
modest 15 pounds. She was very thin when she was found but regular
meals restored her to good health. She's could give kisses and chew
dinner at the same time. She could also wag her tail so hard that she
would nearly fall over.
Thanks for all your donations which paid for her surgery. She healed
completely and found her forever home
where she was renamed Blueberry. She
shares her home with one other dog & a
lovely human named Gayle. She has filled
out to a perfect 20 pounds & runs
like the wind.
PupPup
This loving and affectionate boy was
found on the highway! A good
Samaritan brought him to Wally's Friends
to be neutered and vaccinated. Unfortunately he tested as
"high positive" for heartworms. He had
come through so much that we had to try
to help him! The person who found him saved $300
for his treatment
costs and your kind donations provided
the rest. Thanks to everyone who
helped save the sweet boy.
Bear
Meet
the big Bear! This 98 pounds of love and fun was only two years
old. His owner was no longer able to keep him but brought him
to Wally's Friends™ to be neutered. He tested as a "high
positive" for heartworms and he would have died without treatment.
Your donations got Bear the treatment he needed and then this big
gentle boy found a loving, forever home. Thank You!
Baby
This
is darling little Baby. Her owner unfortunately did not
understand the importance of heartworm prevention. She
tested as a "high positive" for heartworms and would have
died of this
terrible illness if she was not treated. She is just a baby at
four years old.
Lugnut
LugNut was a 2 yr.old, sweet natured dog when his left front leg was
crushed when he was hit by a car. His old owner did not take him to
a vet! His new owner took him from that bad situation and brought
him to Wally's Friends, asking for help. Dr. Tai Federico agreed to
help but he had to amputate the leg and Wally's Friends asked for
help to pay for the surgery. After recovering from his surgery
LugNut stopped by to show us his new look! Doesn't he look great? We
have fully paid for his surgery thanks to your donations!
A happy ending ... You answered our plea for donations to save his
life and free him from pain!
